Aggressive white leghorn. What to do?

I have 1 leghorn in my flock. She has been pecking us when we go into the coop for a while. She has started to pull thigh feathers out of our other birds except our brahma who is quite a bit bigger than her. I'm not sure what to do with her. Can I break this habit? Should she be culled from the flock. There are feathers all over the place from her doing this. It's pretty constant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing to ask would be what feed are they on? What is the protein percentage?

How many birds? How much space in coop and extra space?

Layer pellets,16% protein, 9 birds in coop that is 10x13 with at least that much for an outside run.

Do you give them anything other than their layer?

Plus fruits and meal worms as a treat.

Oh and scratch feed.

The first thing I would do is provide more protein, it takes a lot to make eggs!

What percentage should I try to feed them?

You can try supplementing with meal worms or other high protein foods. I use fermented feed with flock raiser formula. It is a 20% and the ferment makes the nutrients more available for the chicken.

Thanks for the advice! She is one of the hens that have been laying so she probably could use the added protein in her diet. Hopefully this will curb her crabby behavior.
