Our girls are starting to lay. One of them tho gets very agitated (she has had two so far). She starts setting up a racket at about 5:30, and goes in and out of the laying area for a good two hours. She gets upset and chases the others away if they get anywhere near her, sqawking like the devil. She sits on the marble egg we put on the nest area, gets up, pushes it around, sits back down, and does the whole thing again. We end up having to lock the other 3 out until she finally lays her egg, which takes a good 2-3 hours. Is this typical of some new layers? We are hoping we don't have to stay so close to her for the rest of her laying days! (we'd let them 'figure it out' but we are kind of worried about our neighbors getting tired of her loud antics).
