A couple wks ago my BA roo attacks my 10 yr old daughter when she goes to gather eggs.He has tried to sneak up behind me 3 different times Id catch him and hold my ground. Thought i broke him but today when we were out with them (feeding and watering) my 2 yr old is with us.She goes with us most of the time. She is standing still sucking her thumb rubbing the tag of elmo between her fingers like she always does.Watching me fill there water up.I look down to get ready and turn the water off my baby starts screaming a blood curling scream i look up to see the roo on top of her head attacking her. I run to her and try to grab him off of her he turns and trys to attack me. He finally sees i mean business and runs away.I catch him and ring his neck!
Was i wrong? My dad said i need to do the other 2roos cause they will do the same thing. Are all roos going to turn human aggressive?Ireally want to raise our own meat so i need a roo but not if they are all gonna turn mean. Thanks for all help and advice.

Honestly, I think you should rehome that aggressive roo ASAP before it does some serious damage to someone in your family.

Edit: Actually rehoming may make him someone else's problem, perhaps he is ready for the stew pot.

Good luck

That's what I would have done too. It's hard to rehome an aggressive rooster, and I'd be worried his aggression would make him desirable for the wrong type of owner, know what I mean? We had a large RIR mix rooster who decided to go crazy at a few months old. He found a new home in the crock pot.

Yes cowgirl penny i sure do know what you mean.Wouldnt want that for nothing in the world atleast i know he had a good life while he was here.
