Agressive Peacock toward Hens

My Indian Blue Peacock has been free ranging with my chickens for two months now. Last night, he totally lost his marbles and started attacking my hens. He is now back in the cage! I would like to free range him again, but I not sure what is going on in his bird brain. Or what steps I need to take toward calming his anger toward my hens. Is it mating season? Should I not feed the chickens and peacock table scraps together?

Would love some peacock advice!

Around here if a hen puffs up and flys at any pea the entire flock will be after her so perhaps one of the hens got fussy with him, see it all the time, especially when there are chicks just hatched out.
All my flocks free range so they can get away from each other if it gets bad but in a pen i could see something getting seriously hurt or killed.

Thank for the advice. My hunch is that one my hens tried to get aggressive toward him. But, my peacock was chasing my poor hen down. He would not let up.
