Agressive Rooster

I recieved a beautiful silky rooster with about 5 new hens three weeks ago. Unfortunately he got really beat up by my roosters and my husband and I nursed him back to health. We did away with the attacking roosters and my new silky became king of the queens! He has been the perfect gentleman until three days ago when he started acting really aggressively. I went out to feed my girls, and he ran at me, puffed up, and I was shocked! I recognized the behavior from an aggressive frizzle we had years ago. Well, that same day, there were only 2 eggs in my nests (which is terrible for 30 laying hens). Two days ago, "Baby" as I've affectionately called him, ran at me again and did 'the dance' so I knew he was going to attack. I got the rake, scared him off, and continued checking nests, finding 6 eggs, and discovering A CAT in my chicken yard. Good grief! Hubby came out and scared the cat off, but Baby has continued the aggressive behavior.
Yesterday, there were 11 eggs, a REALLY aggressive roo, and I'm at wits end. Ideas? I really like him, but have 5 grandchildren who love to wander in my chicken yard and I don't want an accident!
