Rabies alert signs, beautiful sunsets and stars, and sweat dripping off noses after shoveling out roots here. Been waiting for years and years to have a slice of the country life, and am enjoying it immensely.

Listening to the quiet. It's amazing how we do not know what real quiet is until we get away from the hustle bustle of city life.

Yeasterday I babysat for a friend and kept wondering what that loud sound was I kept hearing. It was TRAFFIC.

We've only lived out in the country for 5 months, but I already couldn't imagine moving back to the 'burbs. We are so blessed!

Yesterday, just minding my own business reading a book with Bisquick (one of my chickens) and my two chickens started singing the egg song, got one of the pullets involved, so I've got half my flock singing the egg song outside then dogs start barking and these poor people are trying to talk on the phone at the mailbox near me... It was quite the scene. XD
