My fiance just called to let me know she heard from the feed store and our 6 Buff Orpington chicks are in!!!

But she's miles away having dropped off my truck to get serviced and won't be home til 4:30....at which time I have a work meeting

I think the store will be open late enough after my meeting for us to go pick them up...but what if they're not?!?!? I'll have to wait for tomorrow morning... Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

OK...sorry...just had to vent...I'll be alright....maybe....

Maybe you could call the store and ask if they could maybe stay open a little longer for you? Its worth a shot...

OK...I'm breathing....in...out....in....out...

I work from home so I have to stick around here until the workday is done. Normally that would have been until 4:30ish but my boss's boss called a meeting for all of us and it would probably not be a good career move to miss it with the excuse of having to pick up chickens (well, that would have been a good enough excuse for me but I'm thinking it's not worth the chance). Feed store said they couldn't stay open past 6 so if we can get out of here by 5:30 we'll make it in time. I'll just think positive and all will be well!
