Ahhhhhh!

I haven't had it with an incubator, but one of my broody girls got back onto the wrong nest and when I got home the eggs were ice cold. I put her back on the nest and a week later she hatched 9/11 ducklings--1 very early quiter and 1 zipped but died without making it out of the shell. I bet you'll still do well.

ACK! My biggest fear! The power goes out all the time here and stays out for hours at a time (lots of cars hitting utility poles in the neighborhood), so I'm worrying about it before I even HAVE an incubator! I bet your babies will do fine though.. I've had to rescue eggs that were abandoned by their moms and were COLD by the time I found them, and they hatched out great.

I too had a broody hen get on the wrong nest and the eggs were very chilled, so far I have 12 out of 24 and these are ordered eggs I have found 3 that were either not fertile or died very very early. So it is totally possible all will be FINE....dont freak out.....think happy thoughts....and GOOD LUCK
