OK so I had this double yolk egg. I wasn't really expecting it to make it since I had heard that 99% of the time they didn't. I was keeping an eye on them and they were doing great. I'm on day 12 now and a couple of days ago I quit seeing any movement. I figured I'd give them a couple more days and if I still didn't see anything than I would chip it open and just see what two babies in one egg looked like. I candled tonight and looked and looked for 15 min with a high powered LED light and saw nothing. No movement AT ALL! I figured they quit. I chipped open the top and the baby right there was obviously dead. So, I turned it on it's side and began to cut a window in the side so I could see in. I'll be D@#$ if the one behind the front one had a heart beat! I couldn't see the chick itself but I could see it's cord and it was pulsating!
Now I'm not even sure the one in the front was actually dead. I still didn't see any movement from it while I was looking and trying to think of what I could do. I got some Glad press n' seal and sealed up the holes. Thankfully I didn't puncture anything. I feel now that I really doomed them.
I don't think they are going to make it but I'm going to give them a chance. I could use a hug.
