We've collected 5 eggs so far today! I'm going to have so sit down and think about what traits are coming from where to see if I can tell what kind of chicks I've got!
Any blue chicks have to be Rose's since she's the only blue bitd out there.
Any solid black chicks would have to be pullets with a malines mom and a buckeye dad.
Any chicks with a head spot or feathered legs has to have at least one malines parent.
I think any red chicks would have to be pure buckeyes. I don't think Rose has the right genes to throw red chicks, but I don't actually know for sure since I'm not sure what her parents were.
And I think single combed chicks will be pure malines. There's a chance Rose might be heterozygous pea comb, so I suppose there's a chance she could throw single combed chicks.
