Day 28

My betta fish Ethari. He's a difficult subject to photograph. Between never being still long enough to get an in focus shot and the way his colors shift depending on the light I have to take about 20 shots to get one or two good ones.

the iridescent white usually shows up pink unless he's right up at the front of the tank. Which is pretty in it's own way, but not at all accurate to how he looks in real life! Half of my photos he just looks like a weird fleshy blob.

Day 29

Cracked open one of the farm eggs (top) to make waffles this evening and was thrilled to see a blastoderm! At least I know some of the eggs in the incubator should be fertile.

That's the plan! It's just me and the 13yo tonight, so I'll have plenty of leftover waffles. They reheat beautifully in the toaster. Add a little peanut butter and it might be the best breakfast I've had all week (I'm so bad at eating breakfast)
