Air cell looks strange - day 21 call duck eggs

They haven't internally pipped - no peeping. Should I still do safety holes?

I would put safety holes. I was told some Calls hatch on day 26, so I definitely would.

Do NOT make air holes. The eggs that have lost the distinctive veins have died. Most likely cause is temperature.

If the eggs were good, they would be a solid black; no light passing through accept for the air cell. Any movement you see now is caused by gases building up inside the egg. Discard before the burst. Do not puncture. The smell is worse than awful.

Sorry, I wish I could have been more positive and tell you there was a chance... No chance I am wrong. Carefully discard any eggs like the one pictured.
