Did a search and didn't find much other than on shipped eggs.

Hatching some eggs for a friend, so not shipped eggs, and I believe she stored them fat end up as requested.
2 eggs have the air cell on the side rather than at fat end, and they are attached.
Saw them when checking before setting, thought maybe it was an optical illusion as eggs are blue/green and maybe just hard to see into.
But nope can see fine, embryos developing and active.
6-7 more days will tell the tale on whether the little buggers make it out OK.

Just thought I'd put this out there if anyone else had seen one of these and what their experience was.

... sorry having uploading issues tonight

Shadow at the top is the chick in the air cell it broke through. So far so good.

I've had eggs with air cells like that. Not shipped, pulled right out of the nest. Sometimes it just happens. Mine have always hatched without issue.
Great to hear, thanks.
