Hi All- This is our first time hatching chicken eggs in an incubator. Today is day 18, and lockdown is happening tonight. I was just candling a few eggs because I was curious about their positions, and I realized that one of our bigger eggs, that's kind of shaped the same on top and bottom, has been sitting with the air cell down the whole time. It's still actively moving, and I'm fairly certain I can here it starting to pip, but I have no clue where. My question is, should I sit it with the air cell up for the time being, or should I just lay it on it's side, and pray for the best?? Will it even matter at this point? I'm so nervous, and have no clue what to do. Thanks so much everyone!

I would say, just go into lockdown as normal. At this point what's going to be is going to be. If he's moving that's a good sign. Just keep an eye on him to see where he pips.
