I have Leonard in my bra. He's too tiny to go in w/others. I have removed water from bator and am getting up to temp. I will feel better if he sleeps there tonight. He seems pretty happy! I knew these boobs were good for something.![]()
Definitely gonna be imprinted on me. I've been trying to avoid this
Congrats on your duckling!Yes. Staggered on ducks. The chickens do well. It seems when I look in the mornings that they have auto turned at different increments
I have one duck laying. I get 2 or 3 per introduction to bator. I don't want mass hatches because I have a small hatching incubator. I guess I could do more chickens because I collect at least 20 eggs a day..but what in the world would I do with them?! I had 2 Australorp chickens hatch 2 days ago and I had a one Australorp and another hatching today and I have three duck eggs to put in the incubator tomorrow.Congrats on your duckling!
I don't understand... WHY do staggered hatches instead of setting all the eggs on the same day?
My birds that hatch later have a much harder time... even a few hours is rough... The ones that hatch earlier are much stronger and don't have to be mean to compete for resources or trample one who isn't yet AS mobile.![]()

Kidding... I've got the hatching bug to! It's addictive.
Your way is just a little different than mine but that's great if it's working for you.![]()
