air flow for incubator

My first hatch ...Do i take the plug out of the air hole in the Hovabator during the first 18 days or just the last 3?

Throw the plugs away. I don't use them at all, except when pre heating.

I agree, leave the plugs out all the time - the more air flow the better.

I have to agree but DO not THROW AWAY plugs..you might move to Arizona.and need them...cva34

Thanks...dont think i will move to AZ any time soon but iwill keep it!!I never though anything away.(maybe lose ti thoughHAHAThanks to all!

BUT another question....the digital hydrometer /temp thing i have says 99.1 degrees.Sitting by the side of the eggs turner.
The little regular temp gauge that is on top of the eggs says 102 !! Which do i go by?
NEED HELP!!

Oh i didnt say i have a fan in the incubator
Does that make a diff on using the air plug or not?
