I have duck eggs with 1 week left. One has the air cell in the middle, but duckie seems to be doing fine. Will this one be able to hatch itself OK? Are there any other complications from this?

I am pretty sure I just read a post the other day (I'm thinking it was Monarc23, but I can't remember) about someone who said that they hatch eggs with air cells in the middle quite frequently. I'm also thinking that this happens with shipped eggs.

Were your eggs shipped? If ducky is doing ok, I wouldn't worry!

good luck and keep us posted!

We've got a couple of eggs with the air sacs in the middle heading into lockdown. Should they be placed in a different position or just left with the larger end facing up?

What do you mean by "air cell in the middle"

I have some eggs that have huge air cells and it goes almost to the middle. I am very concerned that they will have to hatch to early due to no room left to grow.

Is this what you meant? I hope so, because then I will not worry so much about mine.

The air pocket that should be at the fat end of gthe egg is in the middle of the egg. This is the first time with one so IDK how it will turn out. its a muscovy dur july 8
