OK ... so now I know why no one had an answer for me. It took awhile for me to figure out to look at one of her eggs from the fridge.
This is what I saw through the egg I want to hatch, (my best, biggest egg producer), but wasn't sure which end to put down in the incubator.

Round end, the actual air sack is the small circle at the bottom right of the pic

Fertile ???

I had decided the put the pointy end down when it FINALLY dawned on me to "crack an egg" !
The yolk was GINORMOUS for starters. The actual air sack was actually at the round end and I think she is laying fertile eggs for sure ???
The pointy end had a thinner shell which made it look look very distinctly like an air sack, even more so than the round end. Mystery solved.

At least it made me figure out how to post pics on the forum, (at least I think so, we'll know in a click). Next smiley faces !!

I was gonna say the air sac is still probably at the large end. Sometimes you get eggs that are a bit clearer at the pointed end and if they are fresh the air sac will be hardly noticeable. It's only after they've sat for awhile that they get the big empty gap at the end.

on solving the air sac dilema, now onto the fertile ur not.................. have you looked at the thread where it shows fertile verses infertile? i'm sorry but to me..... that looks infertile the spot looks so small. Do you have another egg from a different hen to crack? Crack a few for lunch or supper and compare spots. You'll see the difference.

here ya go

Well I can tell you it looks infertile to me. All eggs have the white spot, but fertile ones have a white teeny tiny dot with a white teeny tiny ring around the dot.
