air sack at wrong end ?

This is the first post for me. I have Mallards. My local feed store asked me to hatch a few eggs from my flock for the store. I took my incubator out of moth balls, have run it for a week, and am ready. I started selecting the best eggs. I only have three who lay green eggs and I was hoping to select all of those as I think it is more fun to collect green eggs for the people who get the ducks in the future. The trouble is, my best green egg layer seems to be putting the air sack at the pointy end !!
What's up with that ??? Do I put them in the incubator ? If I do, ... is it pointy end down or air sack up ???
