AIR vent for hatching eggs

How far should the vent on my Brinsea Octagon 40 be open? I will be hatching around 8 eggs.

I thought you were going to rant about hatching eggs and was all disappointed to find an actual question about an actual AIR vent...LOL

can't help ya with your bator question, but I did get a good chuckle when I clicked and it wasn't a rant post. We've been having more rants than air vent questions here lately
