We have a pekin that was grabbed through some 2x4 fencing and were at a loss. She survived but was not in good shape. The closest vet willing to see her was 2 hours away and it was late in the afternoon. So, after hours of frantic searching, I found airvet. It took seconds to video chat with a vet and get advice. Thankfully, we had all meds and antibiotics on hand but just needed an exact weight for dosing so I ran to get a kitchen scale from Walmart. Without this resource we would have been in a real pickle and it only cost $40 for the visit, $5 to sign up and $35 per month. 24 hour access and the vet even che KS back in to see how she's doing. This is a great help for those that don't have livestock or avian vets close. We hope that others can get the help they need too from this great, and cheap, service!

Raccoons have grabby little hands and are common poultry pests.

There are a number of other predators that can easily fit through 2x4.. Sorry for her experience, hope she recovers quickly! :fl
Yes, this was a bobcat during the day when they are in our run area. I am going to line the inside of the run with chicken wire to prevent this. At night they are locked inside our secure coop and smaller run. I just never thought this would happen at about 3 in the afternoon. We have far too many bobcats in our neighborhood and they are getting more and more brave.

Thank you for this valuable resource. My closest avian vet that is accepting new patients is over 3 hours away.
