I hate it when the hens explode and turn into feathered porcupines. I don't get eggs and SJ refuses to eat store bought. He's only a year and a half and already has good taste!

Oh dear yes. Porcupines in more than one way. MOODY! The hens are normally very friendly, not so much now, they don't want a thing to do with me. Afraid I'll touch them. And cranky to the younger pullets.

Noticed today I have another one going overnight POOF.

The pullets are luckily still laying, so we're not all out. But we're rationing the eggs a bit.

The sad thing is that my Dom hen isn't moulting and even she stopped laying. She was my best layer till they went on strike. :banghead:

Mine didnt lay a single egg for 68 days until this past monday. Now they are all laying again. Idk
