9 inches of snow in Phil Campbell. Opened the door to the coop this morning and one chicken ventured out. It was chest deep. She waddled around for about 2 minutes and ran back to the coop.

We got about 5 inches north of Athens :) Did not even think about seeing what the chickens thought of it! Might have to see if they will come play :)

We DO think that one of the two "kitchen chickens" (still in the brooder in the kitchen) only crows on days it is going to snow. We call him Casper the Weather Chicken

Those two will be going on to the coop in the next day or so to hopefully make way for.....

DUCKLINGS!!!! Tractor Supply has theirs in, but we are holding out for CT Garvin as we know the workers there and they are fabulous :)

We have been getting cold rain.
Some of our chickens are dumb.
Some stay out of the rain. About 50/50.

Mine are dumb too, which forced me to put all the chickens in the garage to dry off. Although I think the only ones that would freeze overnight are the silkies.
p.s. I did get snow yesterday. About 1-2 inches. Most of it is gone this morning

I wanted to video mine in the snow, but I was too slow. They were high stepping, and hopping. Most however were smart enough to stay in the trails the dog and the hubby were making. Love my chickies!
