Next time, quart bags I think! All those greens only made FIVE gallon bags.
ALSO, it took me roughly 4 months to grow, and 6 hours to clean, cut, and blanch them... For 5 "meals"...

I love my sink =] It makes doing things like this much easier!!
Collards are super easy and don't need super beefed up soil to give you a good crop!
I filled up two 13 gallon trash cans of scraps! My chicks are all between 2-5 weeks and they looked at what I tossed them like 'What the crap am I supposed to do with this?' Lol I tore them into what I thought was itty bitty pieces but maybe I need to go smaller
I can't even get things like collard seed to sproutTurnips seem to be the only thing I can get to grow in the greens family. Peas and green beans do ok (nothing spectacular, but there's actually a few to eat
). One year I had massive zucchini.... and that was the last year I managed to grow them. But, we go on and try. My mom had green thumbs, me? Not so much.
My chickens don't like brassicas at all. They're weird like that.
I always want to do too much too fast, so I end up not being very good at any one thing.Did you all get T-storms heavy rains early this morning?
