WAR EAGLE! I'm in Auburn, or at least, very near Auburn:)

Sungirl, when my chicks get diarrhea, I usually clean out the brooder really well, change out all their feed, and give them fresh water. They're usually over it in a few hours. Usually if mine get diarrhea it seems to be because they've gotten poo mixed in with their food and are eating feces, or they have poo or food mixed in with their water and it's just dirty. Clean, fresh water and clean fresh food seem to solve my problems.

Oh, yeah, I also had 3 chicks who got droopy wings and died, one per night. I finally went to Wal-Mart and bought a thermometer, hung it on the brooder with a bent piece of coat hanger. I found out my chickies were at like 75 degrees. I got a 100 watt light bulb (instead of a 60) and moved the light a bit closer to them and that solved that problem.

Good luck!

I show horses, but not here in Alabama. Never shown a chicken though. I do know that the chicken business here in Tuscaloosa county has gone through the roof. The feed store sells all their chicks, and in years past, they never sold much chicken stuff. There used to be a fair here, and people would show their livestock, but it's kind of defunct I think.
