What age do your hens typically become broody? I have some 2 year old RIR and Ameraucanas and none have ever gone broody. I also have 1 year old Barred Rocks and Dominique crosses that also have never gone broody.

Do you have more pictures of your March hatch from the TN eggs? Did that rooster ever figure out what he was supposed to do or did he commit suicide?

I havnt taken any more pics but will soon. Having trouble telling the dark brown leghorns from the cream legbars.

We bombproofed little Smokey's coop and run. He has probably only been out into the run 3-4 times. He is still very skiddish.

We put 2 of his ladies in with him a week or so after we got him from u. They started roughing him up pretty bad. So he has been in his solo coop since. We plan to try him again when (if) it stops raining.

Are yours that are the same age "getting busy"?
