ALABAMA!!

When and where? I'm still building my Chicken Tractor and want to be sure I can safely house the chickens before I get them. But I'd like to go to a chicken show. Do you just show birds? I'm actually interested in layers.

Jr Firefighter, Are you going to put any poultry in the Fair next month? I am thanking about putting some in this year to see what happens. Been meaning to do it for 3 years now but just haven't done it. I got 1 for the Ugliest Chicken if they still have that category. Lol

I am not sure they are going to have a chicken show at the north Alabama state fair this year. Got a book in the mail the other day and it did not have a chicken show listed. But I will be checking on it.

There is going to be a double show in Calhoun Ga. Sept. 10 . I am trying to get some bantams ready to go but don't know if they are going to be feathered by then. Some shows have lg. fowl but not sure about this one.

huntinwidow - I've read about chicken math on this site. I've been fighting the urge to expand but have already begun to fantasize about a 2nd chicken tractor OR a permanent coop to house more chickens. But I'll start out small and make sure I don't kill the poor little things off first. (If you knew what happens when houseplants get too close to me, you'd understand.) Still have much to learn.
