ALABAMA!!

Just dropped in to tell you. I went up to Homewood the last two days. I had lunch at O'Carrs and it's very good. I hope if you're up that way you stop in. They're very nice. I also went to the White Flower shop. She's also very nice and I did spend a bit there for Christmas. I also bought myself some things at the Twiggy Vine shop. My original draw was Sweet Peas garden shop. They have some nice chicken things and just stuff I like. I get their e-mails and wanted to see what was new.

Now I had gone up there today a second time in two days, due to the Homewood Website. I have to tell you the so called Holiday, 11/8, thing was a big let down. While the newspaper said there would be a trolley to take folks to other places in the area there was no such thing. I did see a trolley but it was not stopping to pick people up. The website shows all these tents and lots of people and that is just not so. I intend to contact the Commerce department and give them a piece of my mind. I drove an hour and a half one way just to go.

One funny thing is when I ran into someone in the shops who was not friendly, they were transplants to Alabama. Not true Southerners. Some were nice but others not so. I still love Alabama though.

Just the same please stop into the places I mentioned. The folks there are very nice.

What you REALLY need to do is come to Tuscaloosa and experience an Alabama Game Day! We are hosting Texas A&M tomorrow at 2:30pm. There is nothing else like Alabama football. Seriously, you won't believe it. Go at least three hours before game time and enjoy the tailgating, sidwalk vendors and atmosphere, then if you find some tickets for sale outside the stadium (there are usually some to be found) go into the stadium for the pre-kick off videos and entertainment on the big screens. If you don't find tickets, there are plenty of bars and RVs around that won't mind you hanging with them to watch it on TV! It is like nothing you have ever seen.

Lord have mercy! He got orders. They have to move to Canada in May. To Manitoba! I hate the cold. Does anyone have a spare room to rent me?
