Another Swap Day Set GPN has handled getting this one set up. Sure it will be lots of fun!! It was nice putting a face with the people you talk with on here at the last swap.

Oh we set a Date April 18th 9 am til 1 pm at the Susan Moore Park, straight up US Hwy 231 to State Hwy 75 through Oneonta and Friday's Crossing ( is small crossing on 75 Glass's Store) to Susan Moore turn Right at Susan Moore Rd (about 12 miles past McDonald's) and then left into the Park. Animals and/or plants to swap/trade/sell/bring your own chair!! A small park for kids to play in too!! and a Creek!!

Okay, does anyone know where I can get some guineas eggs for hatching??? This year, I cannot find my girl's nest and I'm exhausted from walking the property. Next year, I guess I will have to pen some up.

(I'm in Bowdon/just over the line). I'd be willing to pay shipping or will also swap chicken eggs for some. I don't know a fair price on guinea eggs, so please let me know if you know anyone that has some.
I just use them to eat the bugs and patrol the land. So far, they seem to like the neighbors property better than ours and we had 1 that just got hit by a car!

Thanks.

Hello All

I am in Seale, Alabama which is located just outside of the Ft. Benning Army base in Georgia. We are so close to the Georgia line, that we are on Eastern Time.

I have 24 hens of various breeds, 4 roosters, 4 dogs, 6 goats, 1 donkey, 4 bunnies and 7 kids of the human kind.

We live in the edge of a 19 acre hay field. I plan to increase my flocks to a size that will provide free range eggs to dozens of people on a regular basis.

I have 25 Jumbo Cornish broilers scheduled for arrival the week of March 23...

Is any one nearby?

Hi, I'm in Auburn. Not exactly next to Seale but within 60 miles, I imagine!

It's HOT today, isn't it??! Spring is here- hard to believe we had snow a week ago.

hey artist chick....Auburn is not right next door, but it is close enough so that we do some shopping there....Academy Sports is my husbands favorite up there...I like Angels Antiques in Opelika!

What kind of chickies do you have? And YES it is HOT...where did that snow go from last weekend? Is it really still winterrrr?

I spent a big part of my upbringing in Montgomery and went to college in Mobile so I claim Alabama as my home state more often than not. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents into this thread, even though I've lived out of state since 2001.

Smith, we like Angels Antiques, too!

We've got a mixture- a maran rooster, 3 barred rock pullets who've just started laying, 9 easter eggers (mixed breed, I think), a black sex-link hen and a ginger colored hen. We've merged three different groups and it's been okay.

We've also sort of adopted our neighbor's rooster who got caught in a jump trap today. We sprung the trap, treated his foot and have him in a cat carrier staying calm. He's putting weight on it, so we think we'll put him out in the chicken tractor tomorrow, keeping him confined and protected but outside.

Have a great week!

I have 11 day old Ameracauna chicks for sale. Someone want to make me an offer?? I'm in Blount County. The chicks are multicolored and I can send you a picture if interested.
