ALABAMA!!

Welcome from Montgomery!
Welcome back! If you live that close to to the plant then you aren't that far from me.

I live by the airport, so hi neighbor!

Hi. We're about 3 miles south/southwest of the airport, again as the crow flies. We're in Lowndes county by about a mile and a half. We've been here 12.5 years and wouldn't trade it for the world. My wife and I were both born/raised in Montgomery, though.

I've got two Jersey ladies.. Mr. Roo turned out to be an aussie (he's got his little lady).

I would loooove to put my Jerseys with a roo. They're such docile birdies.

Oh god that sounds like chicken math.
well I have 4 gorgeous black giant roos, and 3 hens...dont imagine I will keep more than one. :) my phone won't let me upload images to the forum, but I can email or text them if you'd like. They are gorgeous, and unbelievably gentle... I feel some math coming on ;)

The striped ones look more like game chicks to me. The exotic looks like a golden laced polish to me also. I don't know about the others
I hope not games, used to raise games when I was a teenager. Hope for something more gentle. I also belive the other is a Golden Laced Polish. The small gray one looks like it may be a cross with a polish, the pic was not a very good one.

I could be wrong, but the exotic looks like a polish to me. The little striped ones look like the Barred Rock/ Easter Egger chicks I hatched out last year for a neighbor, but if they're hatchery chicks that wouldn't be likely. They could still be Easter Eggers.
Easter eggersw would be fine with me. When she first brought them home I thought they were guinias.

I was looking at my girls free ranging (I cordoned off a section of the yard for them, under the big tulip tree). I am just SO confused. The 2 chickens I bought as Jersey giants are already confirmed to be Australorp instead (white feet). The birds I bought as Australorp, that I decided were actually Jersey giants.. today I noticed only one has yellow feet, the other has white feet.. but they look just alike other from that.

Guess I have either a Jersey giant with white feet, or another Australorp. She doesn't have the green and blue sheen like the other two aussies. They're Tractor Supply birds, so you have no clue what sort of mutts we're looking at

Darn birds.

Atleast my yellow footed birdy is still my baby. She's the only one who likes to be held and petted.
