ALABAMA!!

I am going to need a SLW roo or cockerel at some point. I have 4 pullets and no roo for them.

I also may need a BO roo or cockerel if all of these turn out to be pullets. I ordered 8 pullets and 1 cockerel but 2 died in transit and I don't know if one of them was to be my roo. I gotta wait and see what they grow up to be I guess.

At some point I need to contact Julie down there in Dothan about getting some of her Black Orph eggs.

Jayare says Roll Tide!!!

Hi all,

I am just starting out and I am going to need a lot of help. It has taken me several weeks to finally find someone in our area that had dominiques. I had looked at several hatcheries but they are usually sold out. But in three weeks I have my new babies. I hope I can have as much sucess as the rest of you. I will probably be asking questions? And first one is what do you put in the nest to keep down mites? What kind of things can I put around the coop to detour snakes?

Thanks for all the help,
Aimie

Wow, this is the most people I have seen post they are from Al. Glad to see their are so many.
One thing you can try for Coccidois, and especially if you see bloody stool is to give the chicks some powdered milk every day for a few days. It changes the ph in their intestines and helps them to naturally fight the bacteria. It has worked well for me when I have seen and problems that were not laboratory diaganosied just symptoms that seemed suspious

Hey guys! I'm in Florence..Northwest Corner of the state. I currently have

2 Black Giants,
2 RIR,
1 Houdan Cross Roo-
2 Red Bourbons,
1 Narrangansett
and one really obese Broad Breasted hen.
AND:/ 25-30 Quail.

I have lots of eggs right now and I just filled my bator up. In the next few weeks I will have Giant/Houdan cross and RIR/Houdan cross babies that will need good homes. It's possible that I will have a goose or 2 to part with if they hatch for me!
You guys email me if you need some random chicks or eggs. Maybe we can trade out! I am always looking for new stuff. (The old man would kill me if he saw me type that:rolleyes:)If you can pick them up, you can have them.
Having said that.....I am SELLING the Red Bourbon poults when they hatch out. And the Narragansett/RB poults are negotiable.

My email address is [email protected]

and yes....WAR EAGLE, BABY!!!!!!!
