ALABAMA!!

Here is a picture of a couple of my chickens. And on the other side of the gating are a couple of my dogs. The gating is for my dog's protection. They are bigger and most of dogs.
Soooo nice!

Hello again folks. We have 3 Gold Laced Wyandotte cockerels that need to find a new home. They're almost 10 wks old and are in good health. Will sell for $8 each, or preferably trade all 3 for a egg-laying/dual-purpose breed pullet.

PM me if interested. Pics available upon request.

In a few weeks here I'll have a selection of chicks available. Polish of varying colors -Silver, Buff, Gold and maybe a few Creve Coeur or Sultans. And silkies in the Red, Buff, white and likely Blue range.

They'll be 5 a piece for the silkies and 6 for the polish based on rarity of breed and color. The Sultans I'll likely charge more for depending on the number available.

I'm in the Salem AL area. About 12 miles from Opelika and 20 from Columbus, GA. I'll get some pics up when they hatch. Feel free to pm if you are interested and in the area. I won't ship them so local pick up only. We could also work out a trade if you've got bantam breeds or good egg laying breeds of your own to part with.

One of my nine week old BO roos tried three times to crow this morning. It was an aweful screechy horrible sound. So proud!

Good deal. My roosters are only about 3 weeks old so I have a ways to go, yet. I sure do miss the sound of a crowing rooster, though. A lot of folks don't like it but out in the country I find it to be an almost peaceful sound to have around. Now when 2 or 3 roosters get to going at it I may change my mind.

I have 4 production reds, 14 weeks. They have been outside only for a little over a month. The past couple of days I've noticed they are spending more time in their coop. Is this normal? There is nothing in there for them, all their food and water is outside. They seem healthy and happy. Are they possibly bored or lazy? The only thing I can think of is its cooler in their, but this morning when I let them out, they ate a little and within an hour are back in the coop.

I know! I have two roos for sure and a possible roo in the brooder. I don't think hubby could handle giving anymore away just yet. So I guess we are gonna have a pretty loud bachelor pad!
