ALABAMA!!

Well, my pretty little Hatch/Bumblefoot game fowl hen is growing up to be a handsome rooster.

You'd think with Speck being just over a year old he would have shown what he was by now. Nope. I just noticed it today. With AGF the hens are all dull color (or neutral color since no healthy bird is actually dull) and the roosters sport bright, mostly metallic colors since they are bred to be showy. I think the horrible (and really hard to get rid of) case of leg mites he had kept him from growing properly. Of course, I've never heard of that happening, but I suppose it's possible. It could also be because of the Bumblefoot side of his breeding. I had never heard of it until he was given to me. Finding a site that displays them is still impossible, but an image search comes up with plenty of pics of them. (referred to as Bumblefoot Greys)

Very interesting history on your Bumblefoot Greys! I enjoyed the reading. Thank you for sharing!

Here is a picture of a couple of my chickens. And on the other side of the gating are a couple of my dogs. The gating is for my dog's protection. They are bigger and most of dogs.

I have some silkie chicks for sale. Blue and one white. They are about 1 week to 2 weeks. They are 5 dollars each. I also have lavender orpington roos for sale. They are about 4 weeks old. I can give a more definite date of their age when I get to the nursery. They are so pretty. They were hatched out from Black Brook Poultry stock. They are 5 each as well.
I have a blue orpington roo for sale. I was told he was a lavender but I am almost one hundred percent sure he is a blue. He is 6 months old and he is absolutely HUGE! I love it. I would keep him but I am not working with Blue at this time. He is 15 dollars. I am located in Cullman and local pickup only. If you are interested or have any questions please just let me know. thanks.
As you can see he is real dark and has lacing.

If I lived closer or had a way there I'd take those silkies in a heartbeat. Why am I so far from everyone that has them?

Awww! I'm sorry! I sold all of them anyway. So at least the temptation isn't there anymore.

Though if you really want some I have hatching eggs and those can get to you!

So much for the temptation being removed! Then again, I was just told I can't have any until later in June unless I get egg-bombed. Go figure.

Ah jeez....I am going to have to post a picture of my hubby's poultry Palace. I'm thinking that we are going to need to put in more ventilation after reading everything ya'll are talking about! But back to my original topic. My chickens are 12 weeks old. They have had ACV w/ mother in their water and DE and wood ashes in their pine shavings. I clean every weekend. I haven't ever treated with anything else. I have eight buffs ( 5 roo's - boooooo who we just decided which ones were going today and 3 hens ).
We're waiting. . .waiting. . .on those photos!
