Well, my pretty little Hatch/Bumblefoot game fowl hen is growing up to be a handsome rooster.
You'd think with Speck being just over a year old he would have shown what he was by now. Nope. I just noticed it today. With AGF the hens are all dull color (or neutral color since no healthy bird is actually dull) and the roosters sport bright, mostly metallic colors since they are bred to be showy. I think the horrible (and really hard to get rid of) case of leg mites he had kept him from growing properly. Of course, I've never heard of that happening, but I suppose it's possible. It could also be because of the Bumblefoot side of his breeding. I had never heard of it until he was given to me. Finding a site that displays them is still impossible, but an image search comes up with plenty of pics of them. (referred to as Bumblefoot Greys)
