PVC pipe mobile coop. Had to special order some pvc fittings so I've been at a stand still for several days but UPS delivered them today so I should be able to get back to work on it soon

Well that was lovely.

I was out in the game coop checking to see if there were any eggs and I pulled a very, very light weight egg from under my broody. I didn't think anything about how light it was and tried to pull the feather that was stuck to it off. POP! I got covered in nasty egg foam.

First egg to ever explode on me and I don't ever want that to happen again. I would honestly be trapped in a room with a dead skunk.

Lesson learned. Don't mess with abnormaly light eggs. Ever. Again.

Oh Razadia, I am so sorry! I have never seen or heard of a egg exploding! How awful!

I did a pvc temporary coop. I found that the sun degraded the fittings. Lasted about 2 years.

Sorry to hear that. There are two sides to being a chicken caregiver--the cute, fun side that people imagine and the day-to-day side that not many folks want to do.

I'm using schedule 40 electrical conduit pvc that is supposedly more resistant to UV degradation. Unfortunately, the fittings are regular white PVC
