ALABAMA!!

Havn't been on this thread in a while, welcome to all the new people. I don't know if this has been talked about or not, but I use electricle tape On my Silkies and polish creasts. I pull it up so they can actually see, it works great for about a week and a half or so and it starts coming off. Has any one else tried this? Oh and did i mention ROLLTIDE!!!!!!
Great to see you back! I used (when I had Polish) the tiny rubberbands for kid's braces and a pair of forcepts. I would wrap the band around the end of the forcepts two or three times so that I could just barely open them. Then, I gathered the topknot into a ponytail and inserted it into the jaws of the forcepts in the middle of the band. I then closed the forcepts on the feathers and slid the band off the metal and onto the ponytail. It's easier than it sounds, and worked very well. You can buy forcepts at tool stores and hobby shops (or get the old ones from a doctor if you know one well) and get the bands from the dentist, or a kid with braces.

I was thinking you could put all the pics on a thumb/flash drive and mail them to her. It would take longer but would be cheap. She could download them on her computer and mail the TD back to be refilled!

Tomtom, I was in your neck of the woods yesterday. We went to the University of Montevallo for a cross country meet. I don't remember the name of the county road but we came in off of Highway 82 and through Six Mile to get there. I looked for your coop in the backyards along the way, but didn't see it. I did see a farm with 6' dog wire fences with barbed wire on top. I wondered what they were keeping in............or out.

Highway 82, then onto 25. I am on the other side of town, past campus, next to the fire station. We are smackdab in the 'city' LOL

That side of town, they may very well be keeping people out.

There's this adorable organic homestead on the other side of town. They've got all sorts of critters and produce. It's like a CSA and petting zoo at the same time.

We have a variety clan. We have 18 chicks, 3 red star, 3 silver lace wyondottes (?), 2 polish, 3 RIR , 1 Barred Rock, 3light Sussex and 3 Cochins (?). We really didn't know a lot about the different breeds so we are trying a variety.
