ALABAMA!!

Me too! Make it 2x worth your trip!

I should ask you the same question  Do you have any molted or splash cochin chicks and if you ever go down toward Shelby county?;)

I only have one hen laying about 2 or 3 a week right now with 2 more hens due to lay any day. I don't often go further south than Hoover. I am hatching every egg I get right now, so maybe in a couple weeks I'll have a few.

so after that crazy fast storm swept through here I went out to check on the chooks. All the "big birds" (olders hens and roo) were nice and dry b/c they are smart and stayed in their coop during the storm.

The 10 little heifer's were SOAKING wet! For some reason they didn't get the memo to stay inside.

I put a heat lamp on them so they could dry off and warm up. when they're dry I'll take it back down.

ugh...they are going to give me ulcers.

Maybe I can meet you half way somewhere when you have some. I'm not in a rush(although I have chickitis very badly right now!!!). Just want a couple of hens as pets and lawn ornaments(can't have roo where I live). Oh.. and teach them stupid tricks. Yes, stupid tricks. I had my orp coming when called, sit on command, jump to a target, jumping through hoops, and ring the bell for food(big mistake on that one!!!). My splash was better trained than some of my dogs

I really miss them.

Wow! Love the tricks. I had a little EE hen that would fly to my shoulder every time I went in the run. Miss her. :hit. I'll snd you a pm

I took the plunge! 6 reds and 2 ducks.

My dachshund loves them. You would swear she thinks she is a mother hen the way she keeps looking over them and keeps my other dog in check around them.

I am working on my breeders now Tomtommom. Just as soon as I move the EE quad I have for sale, I'll be hatching some.

Yay! have fun keeping the kids out of them lol Mine want to hold them the minute they get home from school and are constantly picking them up to hold.. which isn't bad I guess since they will be used to them but my 2yo likes to let it run from her lap then snatch it up a little hard so I have to watch her like a hawk.
