I cleaned the coop.

Finally some clarification on the pullets that I bought from Tractor Supply that were supposed to be Dominique. They're Silver laced Wyandottes haven't got to look a them in a few days and went out this morning and all they're heads are turning white.

Not bad, lots of folks like those. I always wanted one or two for their broodiness. Apparently they're not the friendliest though, pretty fierce mamas.

It has begun. One of my egg has a crack on it. Fingers cross

that I will be seeing more cracks.

So far the Wyandottes are really sweet, but I'm comparing them to my leghorns my kids call them velociraptors they're wound up pretty tight.

Hello from Athens, AL! Excited about getting started raising some chickens.

Welcome sir! You have come to the right place for all things chicken! There's some great folks on here, very helpful when you have questions and can even help you find chickens! I actually got my first chicks from a sweet lady on here, Wisher1000. If Tuscaloosa isn't too far for you, she has some great black Orpingtons, I got some of those and some of her Easter Eggers. So far, the Easter Eggers are my favorite, very docile, plus they will lay pastel colored eggs!

Always thought this one might be a rooster now I know haha let them out to roam this evening he flew on top of the coop and crowed as loud as the rooster across the street

Here's a better one he's supposed to be a white leghorn he's only 3 months old I didn't know they could crow that young
