HA HA HA HA! This is me exactly, when I told hubby we had another broody, he got this serious look on his face and ask me if I was buying a bigger freezer, for when I have to kill 20 + or - birds. NOTE he said I was going to do it, not him,and not us, but me!

Ha! Started with 4 a little over a year ago. That will be plenty we said.... Currently at 33, down fom a peak of 50 earlier this year. In a month or so that will drop again we the roo-heavy hatch (8/11) gets big enough. Unless anyone is interested in some very nice barred rock or speckled sussex cockerels....

Woo!! Woo! Glad all of them hatched. Sorry you loss one.

ps I been a good girl. I'm down to 4 chickens. I will probably lose 2 more by the end of the year. 1 when it start crowing and another to my parents who I got hooked on raising chickens. LOL
