ALABAMA!!

I have read almost all the threads on bumblefoot, I am still not sure if thats what one of my girls has. She just started limping today so it is not advanced. I checked her feet tonight, hubby said, yes, it looks like the pictures, then I showed him the pictures of the surgery, he said " have fun" so looks like my lady is going to work with me tomorrow. Just hope I can convince one of the doctors to work on her foot.
Just read on it. Are you going to try to treat it first before surgery?
Also in the video I can't believe the bird just laid there(even wrapped up) and let her cut it out.

Anyone in north Alabama that has a welsh Harlequin hen up for sale? We need a second hen for our drake

I don't want to cut anything, I would rather treat it , a doctor at work said she would study and see what she can do. I decided if it is too intense we can have stew instead. Sry

I live in Harvest which is north of Huntsville. I have a small mixed flock of hens. Im also raising some dutch bantam & D'anver chicks.

Epsom helps but it really just softens the corn so its easier to remove. There is an herbal remedy. I know it can be ordered online but idk where.

I had one with minor bumblefoot. Just picked the scab off and it pulls some of the gunk with it. Never had a problem with it afterward.

Last night I picked the scab, and cleaned it real well with chlorhexadine scrub. It really doesn't look that bad, maybe I caught it in time and there will be no cutting or stew involved. I would probably be sad to eat one of my big girls.
