Misty- the "Mule Trader" is online too http://www.themuletrader.com/Hi Misty! Welcome to Alabama! There are MANY rural areas surrounding Maxwell. Pick up a "Mule Trader" magazine and also a "Bulletin Board" at a gas station. Outside the city limits of Montgomery is very rural. Prattville is a beautiful area and Verbena. I don't think you'll have any problems finding a an unincorporated location to have chickens in the yard. Good luck!
Do my eyes deceive me? These are orps chicks
Sorry hear about Winston.ummm......... YES! The blacks and blues are orps and 13 of the little buggers hatched before some evil thing came out of the woods and took my Winston. I've got a couple different options to replace him, but I'm enjoying the girlies in all of their fine feathers and their beautiful brown eggs are tasty.
The chipmunk brown guys are Red Dorkings -- a fairly rare heritage table bird in need of preservation if anyone is looking to take on a project. Eye candy orps and Red Dorkings for your Sunday morning pleasure...
