thanks ! I wont do this in the winter again because Im worried we may lose power during the night and they would be left without the heatlamp at such a young age . On the bright side - we will have eggs late spring

Amen To that - we have crazy winters here ! It can be a balmy 70 at the beginning of the week and snow or ice by the end of the week in Alabama !

Welcome!! I have 6 no 5 millie flur d'uccles one of my older hens died yesterday from old age i think. I have Buff Brahmas,Black Australorp,Easter Egger,Golden Laced Wyandotte,a brown leg horn. I also have ducks Muscovies,Pekin,Mallards. Hope to get Saxony and Silver Appleyards ducks this spring. They are sooo addictive.
