April 27, 2011 torn things up something awful up here in DeKalb County. Got yall too didnt it Wisher? If I lived in Key West I would have plenty of time to pack it up and get out before the hurricane hit, right?

My fiance was raised in Pleasant Grove.. so we know all about that one. When we went to check it out a few weeks later, eveerything was gone. Never had seen a thing like that.

We were cowering in the hallway under a mattrass ourselves, luckily the one overhead didn't touch down.. He just had knee surgery the day before, I felt so bad, it hurt for him to lay on the floor like that :/

Hurricanes aren't a walk in the park either.. One thing I miss, no scary weather in Europe. Crazy golfball sized hail, thunder that shakes the house, rain that floods asphalt roads off the face of the earth.. They're right, everything IS bigger in America.

Chicken and Egg Festival

Can any of you tell me about buying at the festival? We have never been. Will there be chicken for sale there? Any of you ever bought any there? If so, hatchery stock, show, little bit of everything, started pullets? Are they priced high? Its a long way for us, but sure would like to go see it all anyway. Would love to meet some new people. Any thoughts? I checked out the website sure looks fun anyway.
