Alrighy everybody, I am.desperately trying to find somewhere in the state to buy bulk.grains to make my own starter/grower feed. Does anyone know of a mill or feed store that would cater to something like that? Doing a quick google I found a feed mill in Harvest, Wilsonville, Raburne, Cullman and Troy. None of these are in my town, some aren't too far. and some may be worth the 2 hour drive. are there any I missed? Does anybody know of anywhere I can go to get a large selection of bulk grains? I'd prefer organic, but I'm a realist, and that's a long term goal. I have some great recipes I have found on other BYC forums, I just have to find somewhere to get everything. I thought about ordering what I needed in bulk at whole foods, but I quickly realized that would bankrupt me. I turn most of my feed into FF, and only want starter/grower bc half my peeps are silkies, and they don't news the extra calcium in layer, I just free feed oyster shell.
