ALABAMA!!

Tomtom I am so sorry the sock did not work. I was sure hoping it would I was planning to get some tomorrow! Drats! :/
Maybe you could ask your neighbors before they get upset and tell them you are trying some things to get him to stop crowing. It might make them feel better.

We don't know exactly which neighbor it is. I've got my suspicions, but I doubt they'd admit to it. They're kind of sneaky

Last year the city came by several times after being called. The "weeds" were to tall (my tomato plants), the dogs didn't have tags (my dogs are in a yard not connected to public area, so only my adjoining neighbors could have knows), my rooster (we ate him a week before the city guy even came by), "trash" on the property etc. A friend of mine has had issues with the city too, her "weeds" were too tall too. a.k.a. flowers and shrubs.

Maybe just wait till you see one of them outside and just bring up the rooster ask if they have heard him or something? Some people are just bored and like to start mess and drama because their lives are so boring. Sorry :(

I agree, some people just are not happy unless they are complaining about something. I couldn't help but lol at them tomato weeds you have@Tomtommom whats that country sone God is great beer is good and people are crazy

They haven't called the city in a year... but the fear lives on. I am a goody two shoes, so getting in trouble with authority is something I really avoid

They've planted a bunch of plants between our properties.. hoping it blocks some noise.

Mr. roo was crowing again this morning. I brought him in. The collar is not working, although it did seem to muffle him a little bit. We're going to just keep him in at night and let him out during the day. He doesn't crow often, surely they can't complain about him crowing every once in a while? We've got way more "noise" from songbirds, traffic, dogs etc.

You have the right to demand to know who has complained. In our city, a complaint has to be made in writing and signed. I would demand to see a complaint in writing if they city says something to you about anything else. That's just ridiculous.

Tomtom, Could I please ask you a favor? If you don't mind could you please take a pic of that collar and let me see it. I made on but I think it is not long enough. I need to make 40+ for all my roosters. Thank you, Cheryl

Catching him during the day is not going to happen.

His is wrapped almost twice around his neck, but he's still growing. In the instructions it says it has to overlap 1 1/2- 2 inches so they can't undo it.

That's a lot of roosters. Don't they keep eachother quiet? Usually only the dominant one crows.
