ALABAMA!!

Hi and welcome from Dale county. Tell us about your flock?

I'm actually just about to start out. My Pops and I share a property line and are going to go in and start with a small handful (four or so) and maybe get up to ten.

We are thinking about Leghorns but need to put together a coop for them first. We are in the early stages! lol

You came to the right place. Im getting some isabel leghorn hatching eggs in 9 days.
I cant copy paste links from my dumb phone but there is a thread on here called hot weather coops. Maybe someone will post the link. There are lots of pretty cool coops to get ideas from on there.

Do I need seeds or cuttings?
Either will work, with cuttings you will get the exact same thing as the tree you take it from, it is by definition a clone. If you start from seed you will get something new, no one else will have anything like and it may or may not be better and/or tougher than some other variety, either way it "should", I may be wrong, take about three to four years to produce a decant crop.

Hook me up..

I don't have cuttings or seeds, won't have seeds till about September (or later) and won't have hard wood cuttings till late this year in late winter, I might have one year old already rooted cuttings then as well. And I don't really know of any sources.
