I have heard excellent things about the electric smokers. I currently have a brinkman kettle charcoal smoker. It works ok but aggrivating as hel.l .
I think I will try to smoke catfish next.

Good luck with the catfish- a old friend would buy a roll of cheap bologna and smoke it. Then cut off what they'd like and fry or grill it. Really good stuff.

Does anyone know how to treat an enlarged crop? Ducky at too much fresh grass shaving a couple of days ago. Crop enlarged to the point it can't raise it's head. Witheld food for a couple days. Been massaging crop. Better but still enlarged. Today I gave it eggs coated with oil today(didn't want Ducky to starve to death). Is there any else I can do short of taking it to the vets?

Tough call Orps. Do a search here for impacted crop, You'll get plenty of options, everything from "do nothing" to "do your own surgery" and everything in between.

I have NEVER dealt with impacted crop so I have no proven advice to give, but here's what I would do. I would give olive oil by mouth, with a syringe (no needle.) Just hold his head up and put it in the side of his bill toward the back and let it run down his throat being careful not to put too much at a time. I would keep up the massages and do it as much as possible until the issue is resolved (one way or the other.) I would give no more food until the crop goes back to normal.

I wouldn't think that condition would take long to kill the bird. You should know soon enough if it is not working. I tend to think, where there's life, there's hope, but deciding when the time is right to cull is a personal decision.
