That just makes me sick to know a hawk got your chicken. I can't let mine run loose because of hawks and coyotes. I could sit outside and watch them but I am afraid they will run away and I have noone to help me catch them. I only have two, just got them to give my husband something to be interested in. He has Parkinson's disease and can hardly walk but he likes to go out and visit the chickens.

If they have been in their coop for a couple weeks, they will go home around 7:45 this time of year. Let em out if you are outside
