ALABAMA!!

I am getting tempted by Tractor Supply's straight run Silkies... does anyone know of a place around Bham that would take a cockerel though? Bham ordinances (to my knowledge) don't approve of roosters. With how close my neighbors are, I doubt they would either. I would love to have a Silkie around (even if that does not jive with my get-eggs plans), but I am curious what all my options are reagrding what to do with a potential male from the straight run dice roll.

I don’t know if anyplace near Birmingham that wild take extra roosters, sorry. Good luck with your silkies! :wee

There is a Florida member, @B&B duck lady, who has adopted a muscovy (we think drake). She loves this duck and has been an incredible duck mom but he's getting big now and he needs to be with other ducks or at least be outdoors. She lives in an area where the HOA won't allow her to keep the duck.

Hope she finds someone because my understanding is Muscovies are really good fliers unless you clip their wings and it'll be all over folks' rooftops pooping everywhere..... the HOA will probably freak. :)

Looks like Bessemer & Chelsea are the closest TS stores to Birmingham, but there are several around there depending on where you are actually located. Find any other feed stores.... they usually have "meet ups" or "trade days" at least once a month and you can always find someone willing to take roosters.
