Nice to know.

Little Chicken's Nana. :

Hello Everyone, and Good Day in Alabama. I'am in Oneonta, Alabama. There's got to be someone out there that has some, SPLASH, or BLUE, or Lavender Ameraucana Chick's, ( not Easter Egger's ), or even some fertile Eggs. I mean the real AMERAUCANA CHICKEN. Thats almost impossible to get here. If you get any from a Hatchery, or a Co-Op, or Tractor Supply, there Easter Eggers, there beautiful, I have 8 of them, but I looking for the real Ameraucana. Chicks being better, I can mix them in with my 4 day old Black Copper Maran's. I'am new at the Chicken thing, and its hard to mix older ones with younger ones. I had 5 to be born on Thanksgiving, there now almost 3 months old, and almost as big as the older ones, I have tried 8 times to mix them in with the older girls, and everytime the older girls try to KILL them, I give up. ( HELP ). And my husband said he is not building another coop. Right now I have 6 Rhode Island Reds, 6 Bluff Orpingtons, 6 Barred Rocks, 8 Easter Eggers, 2 Easter Egger Rooster's, 5 Easter Egger Babies, now 3 months old, and 17 , 4 day old Black copper Marans, then there's the Goat's, 9 Nigerian Dwarf Milking Goats, in which two of them are babies, I'am tired. I hope someone outthere has some. Thank you Sharon.

Do you sell goats? If so, where in AL are you? I'm sorta looking for milking goats (debating between them and a cow right now LOL)

Attalla, Alabama here. New to the chicken farming. Just started a few weeks ago. Building a coop for 12 chickens. I hope to learn alot from BYC.

Ok folks, I'm back in good o' NY. Not!

Lord have mercy the waterers were frozen this morning and it's cold in the single digits. Help me Jesus!

We had a great time in AL and hated to come back. Went to the Montgomery Zoo and to ZAZAs' and the Tokyo restaurant. Really hated to leave the GK's

Got to meet Allaboutdemchicks and she is real nice as was most everyone in AL. Not like here. We have some nice people but some can be not nice. Anyhow we talked about moving south DW and I, but we're to old and I wouldn't move with out the Lords consent. Though I also wouldn't move with out some land around me either. What's the point if I gotta give up my chickens?

DW went to a smocking shop in Homewood. She likes to sew and for little girls to look like girls. All frilly and all that. Our girls all wore fancy hand smocked dresses and hats to church or going out. At least til they got to be teenagers though they still have to match. Dress, shoes, purse, earrings, you know what I mean. Nothing like a well dressed woman on a mans arm to make him feel important. IMO.

Expect to come back in April for the Clanton show and even have an invite to a cook out. Shoot I'd come back just cuz your all so nice, and I do appreciate it. Makes a person feel like they matter.

Well take care and I'll be around.

Rancher

Oh almost forgot. Allabout, sent back some eggs and i asked the TSA folks to hand check them and at first they didn't know what to do but the supervisor came and they decided to wipe them for explosives and use the wand thingy. The guy was real nice even though he had to do each and every egg. So today I'll set them to hatch. Thought you should know. I hope they're as nice here when I come back cuz I'll be bringing eggs. No sense wasting a trip.

No, I dont sell Goat's yet, maybe one day, in our area there are 2 Wonderful Goat Farm's, LilHill Farm's, and Thunderhill Farm's, there both going toward's Cullman, and they did, both have babies, the other day, you can check them out on there websites. Good luck, they are wonderful animals, I think you will like them alot. Sharon.
